Have you ever considered using signs for decorating a bathroom? There are signs of humor, inspiration, and just plain fun. These signs come in many shapes and size and reach a varied audience. From the gothic clad teen to the little Tonka driver, to a mom in need of inspiration on cold winter mornings there are signs for just about every situation.
Below are a few fresh ideas for decorating with signs:
1) If you have young sons, try road signs for decoration in their bathroom. To complement the theme, you could use a plastic dump truck to hold rolled up wash clothes or a smaller truck as a soap holder. You could put an orange cone next to the tub to keep towels and use a small vehicle as a soap holder.
2) For a younger daughter, you could use all kinds of princess signs. There seem to be princess signs everywhere you look these days.
3) Teenagers are always the most difficult to decorate. It seems their tastes change with the weather (where I live that could be every five minutes or so). I would do with a safe, neutral overall theme and put a few signs in the room that mirrored the current tastes of your teen. Believe it or not, some interesting 'gothic ' signs can easily found. You could also use sports signs for their favorite team. Just try to customize to suit their tastes and give them the freedom to adjust.
4) Signs for a 'grown-up ' bathroom might include those funny little plaques comparing raising kids to nailing Jell-O to a tree or inspirational quotes to help us make it through the day. Add a few dried mountain flower arrangements and some candles that hint at a scent of pine, and it 's a lovely room for me.
Whatever your style or tastes, or those of your family may be some signs inspire us, make us laugh, and provide us with a feeling of solidarity with our fellow man all over the place. I can think of few better ways to decorate a bathroom or any room that we spend a significant amount of time in than with something that makes us smile or inspires us to achieve.
